About Me

Engineering has always ignited my spark, my creativity, and my innovation. Throughout my life, I have always had a profound need to build. In middle school, I used to take apart my remote control cars and super glue wires to the circuit boards to make them do new things, like drive with a propeller instead of a gearbox. Only later, in high school, did I actually learn how circuitry worked when I attended a five day computer engineering and hardware prototyping camp at Boise State University. Ever since, I have been prototyping and soldering circuits to exercise my skills and build useful, functional items. For me, building transcends mere functionality; aesthetics, innovation and creativity are just as important. From low level programming to woodworking, all branches of engineering encompass my passion and make me fearless.

My ultimate passion lies in Astronautical engineering. After my participation in the Idaho Science and Aerospace Scholars (ISAS) program, I realized that the coming future will hold many opportunities in aerospace careers. The ISAS program was perhaps the most inspiring event in my life so far, because it gave me something specific to be passionate about. Before, I enjoyed a lot of different subjects, but I did not have any specific career goal. Thanks to ISAS, I now know what I want to do with my life. I chose Astronautical engineering because it is the cutting edge of technological advancement, and it is the future of humankind. I have the opportunity to be a pioneer in the final frontier. Furthermore, astronautical engineering embodies my favorite things in life: engineering, computer science, aviation, and space.
